This beautiful, serene hill station is situated at an altitude of 1,927 meters, 75 km southwest of Shimla. It can be reached by a branch road from the Kalka-Shimla road. It has several Raj-era buildings and numerous hiking trails. The Pasteur Institute of Kausali produces the antirabies vaccine and also treats patients bitten by mad dogs
