This village is situated at an elevation of 3,663 meters, about 3 km above the Hangrang valley road. The lake is fringed with willows and poplars. There are small, but significant Buddhist temples and a rock is believed to have the imprints of saint Padmasambhava. This is the gateway for the trek to the Pargial Peak and is enroute to the Thashigang monastery, where an image is said to grow hair.
