Kinnaur
The old Hindustan-Tibet highway passes through the Kinnaur valley along the banks of the Sutlej River before entering Tibet at the Shipki La Pass. Surrounded by the majestic Himalayan and Dhauladhar ranges with their strikingly beautiful valleys, Kinnaur, about 235 km away from Shimla, is a land of plenty. Kinnaur’s prime tourist attractions include the Rampur town, Sangla Valley and the isolated Hangrang Valley. The apples, chilgoza and other dry fruits grown here are world famous. The advantage of high terrain here have opened the gates for adventure sports.

Kinnaur is located on NH22 and is well- connected by buses and taxis to all parts of HP. You can travel by taxis and jeeps from Kalka to Kinnaur. The nearest railway station to Kinnaur is Shimla (250 km). The nearest airport is Jubbar Hatti (from Shimla to Kalpa), located 244 km away.
