Tourist Places in Himachal Pradesh – The Mall

Your trip to Shimla will not be complete without a visit to the Mall, the shopper’s paradise. Stretching between Barnes Court in the east to the Viceegal Lodge in the west, the mall is the lifeline of Shimla and the main tourist attraction here. An integral part of Shimla’s bustling social life, the Mall has most of the major hotels, restaurants, entertainment centres and majestic colonial structures. The highest point on the Mall, is the Scandal Point at the end of Mall Road which offers spectacular views ofthe valley and mountain peaks.

The Christ Church here, is the second oldest church in North India. The massive colonial monument adorned with stained glasses on its windows is a classic example of British architecture.

The Kali Bari Temple is supposed to be the temple of Goddess Shyamala, who lends her name to Shimla. It was constructed in 1845
