Another landmark is the Bugle Rock, which is an interesting natural massive rock formation spread over 16 acres and over 3000 t›niIlion years. It is situated in Basavanagudi, southern Bangalore and rises sharply above the ground. One can have a beautiful view of the Bangalore city from its top. It is so named as it was used as a watch tower and a sentry would blow a bugle from its top to send messages across the residents. It is next to another sightseeing destination, the Bull temple.
